LASilver Communications

Build the Record.
Become the Source.

AI is changing where reputation gets formed. Your public record is what it finds.

LASilver Communications helps founders, executives and nonprofit leaders build the public record behind their expertise: earned media, bylined articles and original research. So when reporters, buyers, funders or AI tools look for someone to trust, they find them.

First I find where your record is thin. Then I build what’s missing.

Not more content. A stronger record.

Start with an Audit

What this is, in plain terms.

What it is
A PR firm that makes sure your reputation is backed by evidence other people can check. Not a content shop. Not a GEO agency.
What gets measured
Six RECORD layers, scored against goals you agree to and re-measured every quarter. What AI says, whether it describes you correctly, what evidence it relies on and whether people noticed.
The method
The RECORD Framework. Six layers, six behaviors, one record that compounds.
Who it’s for
Founders, executives and nonprofit leaders at B2B companies, professional services firms and mission-driven organizations whose expertise isn’t showing up when buyers, funders, journalists or AI ask who to trust.
Where it starts
The RECORD Audit. $1,200, one time, three days. Build the Record runs on a six-month minimum, re-measured every quarter.
Who runs it
Leeann Silver, founder. 25 years in public relations, including 13 years building Sugarwish from its earliest stage through its growth as a national gifting brand.
The Record

AI didn't change what people trust.
It changed where trust gets decided.

The PR scoreboard changed. Placements, reach and impressions still matter, but they aren't the whole story anymore.

Earned media isn't just exposure. It's evidence. Independent coverage gives buyers, journalists and AI something your own website can't: an outside source saying you're worth paying attention to.

So every piece of coverage now answers a second question. Is it independent? Does it corroborate what you say? Can AI find it and reference it?

That evidence is the record. I build it through original research, thought leadership, earned media, independent corroboration, owned expertise and documentation.

Six layers. Six behaviors. One record.

The RECORD Framework is a six-layer PR system for building the public evidence behind a company's expertise, reputation and recognition.

It shows what's there, what's missing and what to build next.

The scorecard tells you where you stand. RECORD tells you what to build next.

Measured the way PR should be measured.

Every engagement runs on the RECORD Scorecard, built on the AMEC Integrated Evaluation Framework and the Barcelona Principles 3.0.

  • Six layers scored as Benchmark, Current and Goal, so you see exactly what moved.
  • Citations and mentions reported separately. Being described isn't being cited.
  • Whether AI describes you correctly, not just whether it names you.
  • What people did, from search demand to inquiries, reported next to the score and never blended into it.
  • No impressions and no ad value equivalency.
The change in the score is the deliverable.

Three ways to work.
One direction.

I work with a limited number of clients at any one time. The work compounds. That's why the partnership is built to last.

RECORD Audit

Before strategy, diagnosis.

$1,200  ·  One-time  ·  3 days

Where does your authority break down?

The RECORD Audit examines what AI says about your category, what sources it relies on, how your own record supports your expertise, and where independent proof is missing.

You leave with a clear picture of:

  • what AI currently knows about you
  • what evidence it can find
  • where your record is thin
  • which competitors are better supported
  • which RECORD layers need to be built
  • what to do next

A scorecard, the diagnosis behind it and a map of what to build first.

Category Ownership

Sustained authority for companies with something worth owning.

Custom  ·  By application

For organizations ready to build a durable position in their category.

We build around your expertise, competitive landscape, media opportunity and authority goals, with the aim of making your company a source that buyers, journalists and AI systems repeatedly reference.

The goal isn't to publish more. It's to become harder to replace as a source.

“The finance background I’d spent a career building wasn’t showing up. The finance lens is now precisely my point of difference. The work no longer says ‘call me because I sell houses.’ It says ‘trust me because I help you understand the market.’ That’s not volume. That’s judgment.”

Kim Harizman, KMS Compass

I audited my own firm first. In public.

Before running RECORD for clients, I ran it on LASilver Communications and published the baseline, gaps included. Every re-measure gets published too.

I've spent my career helping brands I believe in become part of the conversation. Then something changed.

The scoreboard changed. The same systems that influenced buyers started influencing AI.

Most companies responded by producing more content. I went in the other direction.

I saw this most clearly from inside Sugarwish, the gifting brand where I spent 13 years, as the company's first employee, then as Vice President PR and partner.

The focus has moved from earning results to building authority. AI is where that authority gets tested. I went looking for a roadmap for what practitioners and leaders should do in this new era: new tools, new efficiencies, systems everywhere, and nothing that tied it together. So I built one.

The question worth asking isn't "How much press coverage did we get?" It's:

"What does AI say about us when a buyer asks who to trust in our category?"

If you don't know the answer, that's where the audit starts.

I've built this inside global beauty giants and at Sugarwish, where I'm still a partner.

That's why I founded LASilver Communications.

What does LASilver Communications do?

LASilver Communications is a San Diego PR firm for the AI era. We build the public record behind a company’s expertise so buyers, clients, journalists and AI have credible evidence to reference. I start by measuring what AI says about you and your category, then build the original research, bylined articles, earned media and machine-readable signals that strengthen the record. The method is the RECORD Framework.

How do you measure the record?

With the RECORD Scorecard, built on the AMEC Integrated Evaluation Framework and the Barcelona Principles 3.0, and checked against the AMEC GEO Principles and the IAB’s AI-visibility standard. Six layers, scored against goals you agree to, re-measured every quarter. Not coverage counts. You see exactly how every score was built, which means you can argue with it.

What does it cost?

The RECORD Audit is $1,200, one time, delivered in three days. Build the Record is a monthly retainer with a six-month minimum, because the work compounds and a shorter window doesn’t show you anything. Category Ownership is custom and by application.

Who founded LASilver Communications?

Leeann Silver. 25 years in public relations, including 13 years building Sugarwish, the gifting brand, from its earliest stage through its growth as a national brand. She has also built communications inside global beauty brands. She wrote the RECORD Framework after watching the systems that influenced buyers start influencing AI.
